There will be thousands of bikers along the Grand Strand, mostly staying in the North Myrtle Beach and Atlantic Beach area. It will run from Friday, May 24, through Monday, May 27.

The event dates back to 1980, when a handful of local black riders formed the Carolina Knight Riders Motorcycle Club. Not feeling much love at mainstream biker events in the South, the club extended an invitation to other bikers to join them for a Memorial Day barbecue on Atlantic Beach.

The first is Spring Week, which wrapped up in May; the second is held in October. The parties, however, are pretty much the same.

The 2024 Black Pearl Cultural Heritage and Bike Festival is also known as Atlantic Beach Bike Week. Over the last 10 days, about 300-400,000 bikers visited the Grand Strand for the Spring Bike Rally, which is one of the three annual bike rallies in Horry County.
