Honestly the Bruce Alfred dynamic in BvS is THE BEST in all media imo.. even though Alfred technically works for him.. the movie shows us he really doesn't.. he's family his mentor advisor armourer mechanic & basically his batman (British military terminology ironically enough) but is never once treated like his "butler" or his fetch &carry something I think the other films &even the comics never really grasped
Even in the bvs background dossier Alfred is listed as Mr Waynes driver/bodyguard/chief of security &is ex navy intelligence/SAS/SBS
Also it's very small piece but the clip showing him chopping wood next to his airstream located at the edge of the property before coming into the lakehouse had a very nice man of nature vibe to it.. plus it filled in the gap of where he stayed when it was quite obvious the lake/glasshouse was very much a one bedroom deal lol
Little details like Wayne Manor being burned to the ground &left unrestored showing that in this timeline dimension.. something similar to what took place in batman begins with Ra's Al Ghul happened to this Bruce..
But unlike that more optimistic (&imo naive/softer) batman from Nolan's world.. this Bruce let it &that particular "facade" of his Bruce Wayne lifestyle die.. because all that mattered was "the mission"
He won't be entertaining guests &the lakehouse has more direct access to the cave anyways.. it's another subtle thematic hint at his growing isolationism.. his stripped down bare essentials philosophy..
(which as much as it's presented as &probly does have some negative elements is something I much prefer to the preening prancing song &dance subterfuge Bruce Wayne puts on in comics/other movies)
Small touches all showing what a huge amount of detail &love went into this unfortunately &unjustly maligned movie.

Overall, the movie missed the mark for most people, I get that.
But I can say confidently that THIS interpretation of Bruce Wayne/Batman and Alfred are easily the best live action versions thus far.
Again, to be clear, im not talking about the movie and the quality of it. Im talking about this portrayal of Batman which to me is absolutely perfect. The mannerisms, the nuances of Afflecks version is just... 👍🏼.
The man is just walking rage, waiting to burst. Never really got that vibe from Christian Bale while also a great Batman, but for me, never really reminded me of the Batman I grew up reading.
Afflecks did.

I love how the suit looks like an actual demon when Bruce isn't wearing it. It's a really nice touch, that without the humanizing element of Bruce, Batman is a monster.

@The Noir Knight another reason why this movie is amazing
Sadman Khan
@michael joseph Jackson Batman is more brutal and has more combat skills. If he goes insane, Punisher is nothing. But when Batman is calm, Punisher is very brutal and deadly.

The amount of respect Bruce has for Alfred
1- he made him a cup of coffee
2- he was standing up while Alfred sat
3- in Snyder’s cut he said to the justice league that he works for Alfred

@Crichjo32 I feel like this Alfred doesn't cook or clean for Bruce.. he takes care of the batmobile &the batsuit/utility belt.. tech support etc.. but Snyder said something along the lines of Bruce not wanting a "manservant" but you're right about him being his father/mother figure cause he probly did do all that when he was growing up &he still gives him advice even now.

Alfred cooks his meals and cleans his clothes (including the Batsuit), and he also gives him life advice and teaches some survival skills. So he's basically like a mother and father rolled into one. He may not be a superhero, but he's a super-parental figure.

And in BvS when was going to save Martha, in his Batwing through his comm he said "I don't deserve you Alfred"
