Across Maryland, prizes total more than $31 million, with 44 tickets worth $10,000 or more
A scratch-off ticket worth $250,000 purchased in Frederick was the biggest Maryland Lottery prize of the week, but in an unusual turn of events, 17 tickets worth $50,000 each, and of different varieties, were sold or claimed in that same span.
Across Maryland, the Lottery paid more than $31 million in prizes during the seven-day period ending May 19, including 44 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed during that span.
Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. Prizes of up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers are authorized to redeem tickets up to and including $600. More information is available on the How To Claim page of mdlottery.com.
